Why PGDJMC?

This course is very helpful and it provides a complete package by dealing with the different branches of Mass Media, like Print, Electronic, Radio and the New Media. It also contains study of Advertising and Public Relations. So this course provides a wide spectrum with so many options to the students who want to join the Mass Media Industry. I persuade my PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, for a good career in Mass media as a RJ.

As we know that today radio become an essential and best element to persuade people, awareing people about different things, and surely at large level for entertainment. So, this is my heartily wish to contribute my skills and talent for radio. One important aspect of this course is Development Communication, which teaches the importance of Mass Media and how it is helpful in the process of development. Development Communication also deals with the development of Rural, Tribal and Slum areas and the role of NGOs in social development. This is one of the interesting subject which helps me to communicate more effectively.

I think, this course is capable of fulfilling my need but in the last I just want to say one thing that I joined this course because I thought that this course will provide me an opportunity to be a good communicator, and knowledge in the field of advertisement, print journalism. In the beginning I was not serious about this course, but by the time I came to know about the importance of this course in my life for my better future.

Drug abuse:way to hell

Drug abuse has led to a detrimental impact on the society. It has led to increase in the crime rate. Addicts resort to crime to pay for their drugs. Drugs remove inhibition and impair judgment egging one on to commit offences. Incidence of eve- teasing, group clashes, assault and impulsive murders increase with drug abuse. Apart from affecting the financial stability, addiction increases conflicts and causes untold emotional pain for every member of the family. With most drug users being in the productive age group of 18-35 years, the loss in terms of human potential is incalculable. The damage to the physical, psychological, moral and intellectual growth of the youth is very high. Adolescent drug abuse is one of the major areas of concern in adolescent and young people's behavior. It is estimated that, in India, by the time most boys reach the ninth grade, about 50 percent of them have tried at least one of the gateway drugs. However, there is a wide regional variation across states in term of the incidence of the substance abuse. I think our government  must take some serious action against drug abusing, so that this can be prevented.

Back to Khadi

Khadi and non-violence were two powerful weapons with which Mahatma Gandhi equipped Indians to throw out British colonial rulers. In 1920, Indian National Congress had at its Nagpur session first declared its aim to promote khadi as the nationalist fabric which Gandhi ji referred to as “livery of freedom”. Soon khadi became the symbol of defiance as massive bonfires were lighted across the country and Indian struggled against colonialism by burning their Manchester textiles. Khadi continued to grow into prominence and a place of pride for Indians.Today, the demand of Khadi is declining so there is need to know about Khadi by the youngster's of India.

Life with friends

Friendship is a precious thing. The world handles the word “friends’ lightly: its real , true deeper meaning is an hour or by chance is designated by the term which in itself bears a wealth of meaning. How to win friends is an art which all of us learn if we try to can do so. Our friend is one who appreciates our faults as well as virtues, who understand our sympathies with our defeats and victorious: our aims and ideas, our joys and temptation, our hopes and disappointments as no one else does or can. It is our friends to whom we term for counsel, for comfort, for praise, he may not be as termed as some as other but it suffices that he understand us and ever his quietly listening gives us strength and reward courage……
